Today, Friday, the 13th of September, was Isaac’s “official” due date. Levi and I have been going off of the due date given to us by the ultrasound technician when they first measured our little peanut which was the 11th, but since it was only a couple of days off from the LMP calculation, they stuck with the 13th for the records. Anyway, Isaac is finally 0 days old! And doing so well. We realize he would have been a pretty big baby if he had been born full term – he is about 8.5 pounds now. Fetuses grow more efficiently in the womb as they are receiving ongoing nutrition and are not expending as many calories, so he would definitely be bigger than that if he was born today. Uff da. I guess I dodged a bullet there!
Here is Isaac on 7/19, then on 9/11:
Taking his car seat test the first time on 8/16, then on 9/6:
He’s come a long way! Every day I look at him and think about how big he’s getting and I can’t believe he’s almost doubled his weight. He’s just big enough now for a Mei Tai carrier, so I bought one to celebrate. Or just because I want to carry him everywhere!
Thanks to everyone who has been following along with his development! We appreciate all the love and look forward to sharing many more milestones.
